Day #295 - Enthroned
The Presence - A Devotional for living in Thanksgiving, Worship and Wonder
“But You are holy, Enthroned in the praises of Israel.”
Psalms 22:3 NKJV
Have you ever seen a king or ruler on a throne?
The throne is a seat of authority in a kingdom. Only the king and queen or rulers get to sit on a throne. Everyone else is on their feet. The enthroned one gets to sit while others work and serve who is seated. The rest of the kingdom honors and serves the ruler who is enthroned.
The Messianic Psalm 22, is full of prophetic imagery that points to the suffering of Jesus. Near the beginning of this Psalm, we see that our suffering Messiah is also the King who sits enthroned upon the praises of Israel. Praise creates a throne for God.
This is a community transforming truth that our corporate praise builds a throne for God. “The Presence” manifests and rests upon the people of God who bring Him praise. A company of people can host God. As we praise together in our churches we create a throne where God comes to dwell.
The reward of corporate praise is the manifest presence of God. Our singing attracts God. When He is pleased with our praise before Him, He comes upon our meetings. Giving ourselves to worship and praise touches His heart to come and rest among us. Singing praise is not a warm up for our heart to receive sermons. Singing praise is to touch His heart so that He will come and He will stay.
I love the way my church brings praise. All throughout the week we are lifting up praise. He can’t stay away from those who minister to and tend to His heart. Corporate praise attracts “the Presence.” May we praise so He comes and keep praising so He stays.
Lord Jesus, my King and my God! I love You! I love to praise You with the company of Your people that You would come and rest upon us. Help my church praise in such a way that You are enthroned upon us. In Jesus name, amen.

Lord you are worthy of our praises. I praise you with all of my heart. ♥️🙏🏻
Thank You Lord God for always being here for me!
