I would like to have been in this room: ❤ Luke 2: 25-32 "The Holy Spirit was upon him (Simeon) 26 and had revealed to him that he would not die until he had seen the Lord’s Messiah. 27 That day the Spirit led him to the Temple. So when Mary and Joseph came to present the baby Jesus to the Lord as the law required, 28 Simeon was there. He took the child in his arms and praised God, saying,
29
“Sovereign Lord, now let your servant die in peace,
as you have promised.
30
I have seen your salvation,
31
which you have prepared for all people.
32
He is a light to reveal God to the nations,
and he is the glory of your people Israel!” --Holy Spirit, be upon us and lead us, as You led Simeon to Jesus! ❤🕊💖
"We don’t just need teaching or knowledge about the Holy Spirit; we need an encounter with the Holy Spirit." Yes Lord Jesus, breathe on us the breath of the Holy Spirit. Light us up with your power and presence to draw all people to you for redemption. You did it then and are doing it now. Amen!
The day you came out of your mother’s womb and you took your first breathe, that breathe, and every breathe since then has been a gift from God. And when you exhale, you are giving it back to Him. The day you got born again the Holy Spirit breathed on the “new you” created in the image and very likeness of God, and you received the Holy Spirit which is the very essence of God inside you. And just as before, as you exhale you are acknowledging that gift by giving it back to Him in thanksgiving.
In 1Cor. 6:17 Paul reminds us that “he that is joined to the Lord is one Spirit with Him”. God is in your house. You are the very house of God!
About 2 years ago now I started my soaking sessions by connecting with my breathe. I know that might seem so basic, but that’s the point. That simple practice revolutionize my entire relationship with the Holy Spirit inside me. I stopped taking my breath for granted, because I realized it was the very first gift the Holy Spirit gave me. And in the simple acknowledgment of that fact I discovered that every time I breathe, I encounter God Himself. The more I drink from that well inside me, the fuller I get. Blessings!
